Purpose

This add-in allows you to exclude a message from the delay rule.

The application is a COM add-in for Outlook.

Installation

  1. Run Outlook and create or modify the delay rule. Note the add-in can work only with "DontDelayIt" category.

  2. Download DontDelayIt_DEMO.zip archive file and extract all files.
    Exit Outlook in case it is running, run DontDelayItSetup (DEMO).exe and follow the instructions.
  3. Start Outlook and click File > Options > Add-ins. Select "COM add-ins" in the Manage: listbox (at the bottom of the page) and click Go button. Make sure that DontDelayIt is in the list and it is checked.

Testing

  1. Run Outlook and create a new message. Note the "Delay rule" ribbon tab looks like this:

    It means this message will be handled by "DelayAllMessages" rule.  
     
  2. Hit the "Delay on" button. Make sure it is changed to this:

  3. Send a message and make sure it is sent immediately with no delay.

 

Uninstallation

Click Start > Control Panel > Programs and features. Select DontDelayIt in the list. Right-click and hit Uninstall. Follow the instructions.

 

About this demo version.

This demo version adds a tag [DontDelayIt DEMO] to the Subject line of each message that is tagged to be not delayed in sending. The full product version has no limitations.
